Bartlett Regional Hospital is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to enhance our PTOT team. This role is essential in facilitating the recovery of patients facing physical, cognitive, or sensorimotor challenges.
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for planning and executing medically prescribed Occupational Therapy interventions aimed at promoting or restoring optimal functional independence for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients and interpret assessment results.
- Develop and implement tailored care plans to support patient rehabilitation.
- Assess patients' capabilities in Activities of Daily Living and provide guidance on adaptive equipment and modifications.
- Utilize a range of therapeutic equipment, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and adaptive devices.
- Instruct patients on postural control, body mechanics, and therapeutic exercises.
- Collaborate with physicians regarding treatment plans and patient progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including evaluations, daily notes, and discharge summaries.
Qualifications:
Education: Must be a graduate from an AOTA accredited School of Occupational Therapy with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree.
Preferred Experience: A minimum of one year of experience as an Occupational Therapist, working with diverse patient populations in various settings.
Licensure: A valid Occupational Therapy License in Alaska is required at the time of appointment.
Additional Information:
Casual employees will receive a differential in pay and must maintain active status by working shifts within specified timeframes.
All new hires must pass a negative drug screening prior to commencing employment.
