We are seeking a skilled Floor Technician to join our team at SBM Management Services, LP. As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers have clean and orderly commercial or office space.



Responsibilities


  • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Stop at risk behaviors in others and self.
  • Work with other employees in a team to complete assignments.
  • Perform repetitive tasks.
  • Maintain clean work area.
  • Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules.
  • Take direction and respond to supervision.
  • Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
  • Fulfill staff shortages, such as in custodial, recycle, or maintenance.
  • Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
  • Use proper personal protective equipment that is required for assigned tasks.
  • Present a professional appearance and conduct.
  • Understand customer service and satisfaction.
  • Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.
  • Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
  • Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: tile, carpet, and brick flooring.
  • Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
  • Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
  • Use and maintain equipment properly.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely.
  • Always observe safety precautions, using safety signs.
  • Ability to work without normal supervision.
  • Report safety hazards as appropriate.


Qualifications


  • Experience in the janitorial industry required.
  • Floor/carpet care expertise preferred.
  • A drug test will be required.
  • 3+ years of experience preferred.
  • Must pass SBM Background checks, along with Pre-employment Drug screening & E-Verify.
  • Floor Care experience and using machinery.
  • Drivers License Required.
  • General Knowledge of Care Floor and Scrubbing Techniques.
  • Fluency in English required.


Work Environment


  • Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00pm-10:00pm.
  • Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour.
