Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Roadway Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our transportation infrastructure group, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for complex roadway projects.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation roadway design. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary teams to develop advanced MicroStation/GEOPAK/Open Roads processes using 3D modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop geometric alignments, profiles, cross-sections, construction, and Temporary Traffic Control details.
  • Creation of engineering documents including Typical Section Packages, Pavement Design Reports, and Variation/Exception Reports.
  • Perform advanced MicroStation/GEOPAK/Open Roads processes using 3D modeling.
  • Coordinate plans, calculations, and specifications amongst multi-discipline engineering teams.

Requirements:

  • B.S. from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of transportation roadway design experience
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Florida or the ability to obtain one within 6 months
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and/or Open Roads
  • Strong knowledge of FDOT plans preparation criteria, FDM and Standard Plans
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  • Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
  • Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required

Salary Information:

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience.
