As a Veterinarian at Great Lakes Animal Hospital, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and managing the health of a diverse range of animals. You will work closely with pet owners to provide comprehensive care and build lasting relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough examinations of animals to diagnose and treat medical conditions
  • Perform surgical procedures, including routine and emergency surgeries
  • Administer vaccinations, medications, and other treatments as required
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for various health issues
  • Educate pet owners on preventative care, nutrition, and overall animal wellness
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients
  • Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in ongoing professional development
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in Michigan
  • Proven experience in a veterinary practice is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to join our team
  • Strong diagnostic and surgical skills with a commitment to high-quality care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Compassionate attitude and a genuine love for animals
