Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team at RAYUS Radiology. This is a full-time position working three 13-hour shifts per week.

About the Role

As an MRI Imaging Specialist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. Your primary responsibility will be patient-centered imaging, ensuring that each examination is performed with professional standards and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screens patients before examinations for any precautions or contraindications, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
  • Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning them appropriately
  • Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body, providing patient support throughout the process
  • Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
  • Maintains positive working relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers
  • Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect patients, coworkers, and yourself
  • Accurately maintains patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Maintains an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
  • Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
  • Assists with training new associates, providing technical expertise and resources
Requirements

This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a healthcare setting and be knowledgeable about MRI technology.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000-$85,000, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
