Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform automotive services efficiently using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Support fellow technicians in executing technical tasks.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnose issues, and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, exhaust systems, fuel ignition, electrical systems, steering, suspension, and air conditioning.
  • Clearly communicate technical findings and necessary repairs to service advisors and customers when required.
  • Engage in continuous learning of new technologies, tools, and techniques through formal training.
  • Document findings accurately to facilitate customer estimates and ensure proper repairs.
  • Assist in technical activities as needed.
  • Keep management informed of any mechanical repair issues.
  • Maintain and secure all work tools.
  • Ensure equipment is turned off and locked when not in use.
  • Uphold a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, problem-solving, and repair.
  • High motivation, energy, and strong customer service abilities are essential.
  • Possession of necessary hand tools for service tasks.
  • Knowledge of shop tools and equipment, including scanners and diagnostic tools.
  • ASE certification and A/C Refrigerant handling certification are advantageous but not mandatory unless required for specific services.
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and work effectively in various conditions.
  • Physical capability to lift, move, and handle items of various sizes and weights.
  • Proficient in English and Spanish, including reading and writing skills.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Working Environment: Candidates must be able to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods and work in conditions with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exhaust fumes. Physical tasks may include lifting items up to 50 pounds and maintaining mobility throughout the workday.
