Job Summary

The VCU Health Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time physician specializing in outpatient rehabilitation medicine. As a Physiatrist, you will play a key role in developing and expanding our clinical programs, providing high-quality patient care, and contributing to the academic and research missions of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement clinical programs and services to meet the needs of our diverse patient population
  • Provide expert medical care to patients with a range of physical medicine and rehabilitation needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
  • Contribute to the academic and research missions of the department through teaching, research, and publication
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Board certification or board eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • Strong clinical and academic credentials, with a demonstrated ability to establish clinical initiatives and lead teams
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
