About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at AdventHealth South Overland Park. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, psychosocial, and/or limitations with activities of daily living as medically prescribed.
  • Assess patient ability to safely and effectively perform independent activities of daily living skills.
  • Document and charge accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department/hospital policies and procedures.
  • Design and implement a treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards and recommended techniques and modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient's needs.
  • Communicate appropriately and effectively with patients, family and healthcare professionals within and across care settings and communities.
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Licensed in applicable state as an Occupational Therapist OR Temporary State permit as Occupational Therapist
