The RN Nurse Manager PCU Stepdown is responsible for managing 24/7 unit/department operations or a business function. This role ensures high-quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and evaluate the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures.
- Hold staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure.
- Associates Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Minimum 3 years current Nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a full-time Charge / Coordinator Nurse, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, and/or Nursing Management.
