About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to lead our OLGSH Post-Op Unit team. As a Nurse Leader, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, mentoring and guiding your colleagues, and contributing to the overall success of our unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Assess learning needs and develop effective teaching strategies to support the diverse needs of our patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively, serving as a leader and partner on the Interdisciplinary Team.
  • Use data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change, driving optimal outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Embody concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction, employee morale, and the profession of nursing.
  • Adapt behavior to meet the specific needs of our patient population, demonstrating respect for privacy, cultural sensitivity, and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Current RN License in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
