Maintenance Technician

Nesco Resource is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Wellsboro, PA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant's machinery and equipment.

• Routine Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct regular maintenance on plant machinery and equipment, diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and perform repairs on pumps, motors, compressors, conveyors, and other machinery.
• Installation and Calibration: Install and set up new equipment, ensuring proper alignment and calibration, and assist with the installation of machinery and systems.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support to production teams to resolve equipment-related issues promptly and efficiently, and offer technical advice and guidance on proper operation and maintenance procedures.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment performance, and report major mechanical issues or recurring problems to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, and ensure that all maintenance work complies with company policies and industry regulations.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and plant operations, and stay informed about new technologies and techniques to apply best practices in maintenance activities.

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in Mechanical Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is preferred, and proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment, and ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions, including confined spaces and elevated areas, and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.

• Experience with automated machinery and control systems, certification in industrial maintenance or a related field, and knowledge of safety and environmental regulations specific to the plant's industry.

• The role involves working in a plant environment, which may be noisy and involve exposure to various industrial hazards, and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required.
