Job Title: Correctional OfficerJob Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Correctional Officer to join our team at the Waukesha County Jail. As a Correctional Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of inmates, staff, and visitors within the facility. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and interact with inmates to ensure their safety and well-being
  • Enforce facility rules and regulations to maintain a secure environment
  • Conduct searches and inspections of inmates and their property
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents within the facility
  • Provide support and guidance to inmates to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of experience in a law enforcement or corrections setting preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain a security clearance
