Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at UW Health. As a cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in the detection and diagnosis of precancerous and cancerous conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform microscopic screening of gynecologic, non-gynecologic, and Fine Needle Aspirate (FNA) slide preparations to detect precancerous and cancerous conditions.
  • Write procedure manuals, review quality control results, maintain inventory, troubleshoot, and train new employees.
Requirements
  • Minimum - Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science.
  • Completion of an accredited cytotechnology program.
  • Preferred - Bachelor's degree in cytotechnology.
  • Minimum - One (1) year experience as a cytotechnologist.
  • Preferred - Specialist in Cytotechnology (American Society of Clinical Pathologists).
