Company Overview:This organization specializes in strategic advisory services for clients within the renewable energy sector, utilizing capital markets and technological expertise to deliver comprehensive project finance, capital raising, and M&A solutions.
As an Associate or Senior Associate, you will be entrusted with significant responsibilities and autonomy from the beginning, collaborating closely with mid-senior management and reporting directly to a Director on the deals team. Your role will encompass financial and business due diligence, acting as the Engagement Lead for specific client accounts, planning and executing pre-engagement strategies, and developing final deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and construct advanced financial models and valuations for client proposals and strategic initiatives, including DCF, trading comparables, tax equity structures, and debt financing.
- Design and evaluate tax equity structures.
- Oversee daily deal execution, engaging with senior team members, client management, transaction counterparts, and other advisors.
- Facilitate client due diligence by managing information flow, supervising communications, and reviewing company data.
- Independently produce high-quality deliverables such as Confidential Investment Memorandums, board materials, and presentation materials for tax equity financing and M&A transactions or client pitches.
- Provide mentorship, leadership, and oversight to Analysts.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; a Master's degree in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or Economics is preferred.
- Must complete SIE, Series 79, and 63 examinations within the initial onboarding period.
- A minimum of 2+ years in strategic business consulting, valuation, or investment banking.
- At least 2+ years of experience in tax equity structuring and transactions.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated financial modeling expertise.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proven capacity to manage multiple tasks.
- A genuine passion for renewable energy and decarbonization initiatives.
