Job Title: Forklift Field Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forklift Field Mechanic to join our team at HOJ Innovations, Inc. in Idaho Falls, ID. As a Forklift Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of forklifts and other heavy industrial equipment.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in industrial equipment repair. You will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and pallet riders. You will also be responsible for diagnosing and repairing equipment, as well as performing preventative maintenance inspections.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on forklifts and other heavy industrial equipment
  • Diagnose and repair equipment as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections
  • Work with parts department to obtain parts and technical information needed to repair equipment
  • Accurately complete work orders and timecards
  • Operate lift trucks and equipment as required
  • Maintain a service van and its inventory
  • May assist in the installation and service of other material handling equipment
  • Comply with all safety standards and OSHA regulations
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Forklift mechanic experience or relatable background in industrial, heavy equipment or automotive mechanics preferred
  • Ability to read codes, instructions, and electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Welding and fabrication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently with others
  • Quick comprehension, flexible and punctual
  • High standard of quality and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with limited direct supervision after training
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members, customers, and vendors
  • Maintain work area and vehicle in clean and orderly condition
  • Positive attitude and ability to comply with company policies and procedures
  • Willingness to travel if necessary and work occasional overtime hours
  • Maintain and strengthen customer relationships by acting professionally and as a representation of HOJ
  • All personnel will be governed by DOT rules when operating company vehicles
  • Must have a valid drivers' license with a good driving record (CDL preferred)
