Job Overview

TD&I Cable Maintenance, Inc. is seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team in the telecommunications construction industry. As a Laborer, you will play a vital role in various construction projects, working closely with our site Foreman and Supervisor to ensure seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites, materials, and tools to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Material Handling: Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Debris Removal: Remove debris and garbage from work sites, conducting restoration as needed.
  • Infrastructure Setup: Assemble and break down barricades and temporary structures to facilitate construction progress.
  • Commercial Vehicle Operations: Assist and operate combinations of commercial vehicles and trailers over 10,000 LBS, with a valid DOT Medical Card. For vehicles exceeding 26,000 LBS, a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a tanker endorsement is required, adhering to FMCSA/DOT guidelines.
  • Traffic Management: Regulate traffic and erect traffic signs in accordance with MUTCD guidelines.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and OSHA 1926 Construction Safety standards and regulations.
  • Excavation Work: Perform digging, potholing, trenching, and other underground excavation tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Education: A High School diploma is preferred, but not required.
  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license and CDL are mandatory.
  • Work Experience: Similar work experience may be beneficial, but not necessary.
  • Training: Willingness to undertake training when necessary.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team setting as part of a construction crew.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors and possess good physical stamina.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, with expected hours ranging from 40 to 70 per week. The hourly pay rate is $25 - $27.00 per hour.
