About the Role
Alleghany Highlands Community Services is seeking a skilled Substance Use Therapist to join our team. As a Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality substance use outpatient therapy to adults and families in our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to adults and families struggling with substance use disorders.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to address the unique needs of each client.
- Collaborate with the intake team and mental health substance use team to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Conduct intakes and assessments to identify client needs and develop effective treatment strategies.
- Facilitate substance use intensive outpatient and medically assisted treatment groups.
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited college/university in an applicable human services field.
- Licensure in the State of Virginia as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
- One year of program-specific work experience or relevant education indicating the individual possesses the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
