Senior Radiologic Technologist

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Senior Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging services team, you will be responsible for performing complex imaging examinations and providing a safe environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex imaging examinations, including reviewing and evaluating requisitions for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Abstract data from patient charts and determine the appropriateness of procedures prescribed.
  • Select appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.
  • Assess patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and develop a care plan for their specific needs.
  • Explain examinations and answer questions from patients and parents regarding radiation exposure.
  • Follow departmental QC/data integrity workflow and practice high reliability training.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions and assist in organizing and maintaining daily operations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the modality manager, chief technologist, or assistant chief technologist.
Requirements:
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
  • Meet, successfully complete, and maintain ARRT certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • Associates degree.
  • 3 years of experience.
  • Current MA Radiologic Technologist license for General Radiography.
