Senior Radiologic Technologist

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Senior Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging services team, you will be responsible for performing complex imaging examinations and providing a safe environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform complex imaging examinations, including reviewing and evaluating requisitions for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Abstract data from patient charts and determine the appropriateness of procedures prescribed.
- Select appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.
- Assess patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and develop a care plan for their specific needs.
- Explain examinations and answer questions from patients and parents regarding radiation exposure.
- Follow departmental QC/data integrity workflow and practice high reliability training.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions and assist in organizing and maintaining daily operations.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the modality manager, chief technologist, or assistant chief technologist.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
- Meet, successfully complete, and maintain ARRT certification.
- BLS certification.
- Associates degree.
- 3 years of experience.
- Current MA Radiologic Technologist license for General Radiography.
