Young Learner Mentor

We are seeking an experienced educator to lead our Early Preschool program at Wonder Academy, a creative arts preschool in the Indian Trail, NC area.

The successful candidate will possess a teaching degree or certificate in early childhood education and a strong background in child development.

Job Summary:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet educational standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
• Manage classroom behavior and promote social-emotional learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create an optimal learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate fundamental vocabulary, shapes, colors, letters, and numbers.
• Implement the 5-Part Curriculum, infusing movement and art to enhance learning.
• Address basic interpersonal skills, such as sharing, taking turns, and asking permission.

Requirements:

• Teaching degree or certificate in early childhood education.
• Current North Carolina CBC Qualifying Letter.
• Knowledge of North Carolina Rules/Regulations.
• Ability to develop lesson plans meeting educational standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least two years prior experience in a preschool environment.
• Existing completion of NCECC.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 per year
