Soliant is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team in a school district near Kannapolis, NC. This role involves working with students on the Autism Spectrum or with Spectrum-like characteristics, utilizing an Adapted Curriculum.
Responsibilities:- Provide specialized instruction to students on the Autism Spectrum or with Spectrum-like characteristics.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Utilize an Adapted Curriculum to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
- Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive educational support.
- Monitor and assess student progress, making necessary adjustments to instructional methods.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
- Active North Carolina Adapted Curriculum Special Education License.
- Previous experience working with students on the Autism Spectrum in an Adapted Curriculum setting.
- A passion for working with special needs students.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
