Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Evening Room Care Specialist is tasked with delivering exceptional turndown and cleaning services for both vacant and occupied accommodations.
Service Excellence:
This role is essential in upholding a 5-Star, 5-Diamond experience in alignment with Forbes standards. The Evening Room Care Specialist will also engage collaboratively with other departments, promoting the Tribe's goals and values.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute thorough cleaning of all guest rooms, including bed making and replenishing clean linens and robes. Maintain cleanliness by dusting, sanitizing, collecting waste, and restocking supplies, amenities, and condiments. Respect guest preferences while adhering to company policies and regulations. Report any maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
2. Conduct regular inspections of assigned guest rooms to ensure compliance with cleanliness and maintenance standards.
3. Utilize cleaning chemicals and supplies in accordance with OSHA guidelines, ensuring proper labeling and safety measures are followed.
4. Inspire and motivate team members to collaborate and enhance their skills through effective leadership and coaching.
5. Document maintenance issues related to guest rooms and communicate guest requests to the Supervisor or Office Coordinator as necessary.
6. Perform additional duties as required to support the smooth operation of the housekeeping department.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or GED is preferred. A minimum of two years of experience in housekeeping within a luxury hotel setting is advantageous. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Skills:
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Familiarity with housekeeping techniques and productivity standards is required. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and maintain professionalism in communication.
Licenses:
As mandated by the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, obtaining and maintaining a gaming license may be necessary.
