Position Summary

The Heavy Equipment Transport Specialist is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation, delivery, and retrieval of various construction and heavy machinery. This role requires a high level of professionalism and adherence to safety standards while operating both commercial and non-commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport and deliver a variety of construction and heavy equipment.
  • Operate vehicles in a professional manner, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer service and professionalism.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each trip.
  • Ensure all delivery documentation is accurately maintained and readily available for review.
  • Utilize driving expertise to navigate challenging environments, including heavy traffic and adverse weather conditions.
  • Secure loads effectively in accordance with established DOT guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
  • Adhere to safety protocols at all job sites and facilities.
  • Assist customers with inquiries related to equipment operation and safety.
  • Report any damage to company property discovered during equipment retrieval.
  • Notify management of any accidents or incidents involving equipment.
  • Promptly communicate any delays due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in response to changing customer demands.
  • Maintain accurate logs and paperwork on a daily basis.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

Employment Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in tractor trailer driving within the last three years.
Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement.
Current medical certification required.
Hazmat endorsement must be obtained within the first 120 days of employment, with assistance provided.

Essential Skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
  • Proficient in operating large machinery.
  • Skilled in securing loads safely.
  • Strong customer service capabilities.
Compensation

Competitive hourly wage ranging from $26 to $28.
