About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our engineering projects, including scheduling, budgeting, project management, blueprint reading, team leadership, inventory, and material ordering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all stages of project life cycle, manage project teams, and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the engineering team, fostering an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Manage inventory and materials, ensuring adequate supplies are available for each project, and place orders as necessary.
  • Implement and maintain safety standards and procedures in compliance with industry regulations.
  • Conduct regular meetings with project teams and stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, potential risks, and proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate with other superintendents and project managers to share best practices and improve processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a superintendent or similar role within the engineering industry.
  • Proven experience in scheduling, budgeting, project management, and blueprint reading.
  • Solid knowledge of industrial electrical construction.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying potential issues and proactively developing solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and material ordering.
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage stress, and maintain a high level of productivity.
