Lead Pipelayer

At Sunroc Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Pipelayer to join our team in Idaho Falls. As a Lead Pipelayer, you will play a critical role in building better communities by leading a team of pipelayers and ensuring the successful completion of projects.

• Read, identify, and understand blueprints related to above and below ground utilities.
• Layout the work and set up and operate a pipe laser.
• Train, mentor, and develop other employees into a pipelayer position.
• Check slopes for conformance to requirements using instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levels.
• Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, cover pipes with earth or other materials, cut pipes to required lengths.
• Dig trenches to required depths.
• Grade or level trench bases using tamping machines or other hand tools.

• Extensive knowledge of water, sewer, and storm drain systems as well as dry utilities and other civil related projects.
• Solid knowledge of pipe laying methods, practices, and procedures.
• At least 2-year pipelaying experience as a Pipe Layer in Civil Utility Construction.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to bend, lift, and other physical activities.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.
