Position: Zscaler Security SpecialistLocation: RemoteKey Responsibilities:

The Zscaler Security Specialist will be an integral part of our global team, tasked with overseeing and configuring Zscaler security measures and protocols. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Monitoring and assessing network traffic for potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Developing and enforcing policies to restrict access to unauthorized websites and applications.
  • Investigating and addressing alerts and incidents related to proxy and firewall breaches.
  • Creating innovative use cases for Zscaler application security assessments and control validations.
  • Engaging in proactive cyber threat hunting to support global cybersecurity operations.
  • Providing comprehensive documentation for incidents, including findings and follow-up actions.
  • Contributing to the formulation, adjustment, and upkeep of SOC policies concerning Zscaler.
  • Staying informed about cybersecurity trends and the evolving threat landscape.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of practical experience with web proxies, firewalls, and zero trust access controls, preferably with Zscaler.
  • Experience in zero-trust network architecture, ZPA, and ZIA policy management is advantageous.
  • A relevant university degree; advanced certifications such as MBA, CISSP, GDSA, or ZTDA are preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of proxy application security technologies and their functionalities (e.g., URL Filtering, Application Control, DNS Control, Firewall, Data Loss Prevention).
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, enterprise SaaS, and networking protocols.
  • Advanced skills in event analysis using SIEM tools.
  • Proficient in sophisticated incident investigation and response techniques.
  • Expertise in log parsing and analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
