Service Electrician

Lighting Maintenance Inc. (LMI) is seeking a skilled Service Electrician to join our team. As a Service Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical and lighting systems in commercial and government settings.

• Maintenance and repair of electrical and lighting systems
• Installation of new electrical and lighting systems
• Troubleshooting electrical problems
• Operating equipment such as trenchers, backhoes, and lift trucks
• Working at heights and in confined spaces
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
• Using power tools and hand tools

• Current driver's license
• DOT card
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Journeyman's License
• 4-5 years of electrical experience
• Experience running crews of 4
• Ability to troubleshoot effectively
• Valid J-card or waiting for the state to send
• Ability to take home a large vehicle
• Blueprint experience
• Bucket experience or willingness to be trained
• Experience operating equipment preferred but not required
• CDL Class A preferred but not required
• Experience completing daily job tickets
• Required to do DVIR/JHA daily

• Positively identify colors of conductors
• Comprehends reading of blueprints and schematics
• Use of all power tools
• Capable of digging trenches and comfortably using hand tools or power equipment
• Practice and comprehend safe work procedures
• Operate two-handed tools such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jackhammers
• Operate company trucks with manual and automatic transmissions
• Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints, and written instructions
• Operate and work from personal lifts, gas or electric powered

• Able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, overtime and night shifts as required

• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead
• Lift 51 pounds
• Climb ladders of all types
• Complete overhead work for full day's assignments
• Possess good vision (normal or corrected)
