Key Responsibilities

  • Meat Department Operations: Oversee the daily activities of the meat department, including inventory management, product rotation, and visual merchandising.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of meat department associates, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, track sales reports, and monitor product orders to ensure accurate stock levels and freshness.
  • Merchandising and Sales: Coordinate sales and merchandising plans to ensure proper stock levels and freshness, and monitor competitor activity to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Store Operations: Assist with scheduling, training, and recognizing performance, and delegate work assignments to effectively utilize talents and abilities while maximizing profits for the department.

Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; associate or bachelor's degree in business-related or food service-related field desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in management in a retail/restaurant/supermarket environment; meat management experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, strong leadership and communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
