Cake Decorator

Job Summary: As a Cake Decorator at Sam's Club, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing bakery items that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member's expectations.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Be a Team Player: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, and communicate effectively to provide excellent customer service.
• Be an Expert: Plan bakery productions, ensure consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs, follow recipe measurement instructions, and work with various products to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items.
• Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement, utilizing handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality.
• Be an Owner: Drive the performance of the bakery area, ensuring quality and date control standards, eliminating waste, and preparing for seasonal events that impact the bakery volume.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Be a brand advocate by valuing the member's experience in Bakery and modeling high-quality service and products, interacting with associates to understand roadblocks and assisting in training.
• Additional Responsibilities: Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, complete work assignments and priorities, and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have 6 months of experience in a fresh production area, be at least 18 years old, and be able to successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.
