Position Overview
Insight Global is in search of a Backend Java Engineer to collaborate with one of our prominent clients in the financial services sector. This role is integral to the engineering team within Platform Solutions, focusing on the development of technology utilized by numerous clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in backend Java development, ensuring high-quality code and performance.
- Utilize frameworks such as Spring, Kafka, and microservices to enhance system functionality.
- Work closely with team members to deliver innovative solutions and improve existing systems.
Qualifications
- 6-12 years of experience in backend Java development.
- Proficient in core Java 8+, Spring (including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security), and Spring Data.
- Experience with microservices architecture and No-SQL databases, particularly MongoDB.
- Familiarity with messaging frameworks, especially Kafka.
- Knowledge of unit and integration testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and Serenity.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Recent experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience with cloud services, particularly AWS.
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science is preferred.
