Lifeguarding Specialist

The YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a Lifeguarding Specialist to join our aquatic team This role is perfect for someone who loves working with people and wants to make a positive impact in their community.

• Monitor Pool Area: Continuously scan the pool area for potential hazards and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Enforce Pool Rules: Enforce pool rules and regulations, handling conflicts professionally and efficiently.
• Cleanliness and Maintenance: Ensure the pool and surrounding areas are clean and safe at all times.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals and maintain a positive work environment.

• Age: At least 18 years old
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
• Training: Must have completed necessary certifications, including CPR, First Aid, and lifeguarding courses

This role requires working varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. You must be comfortable with heights and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $40,000-$48,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
