About the Role:

The Senior Finance Analyst will perform complex financial calculations and analysis, prepare comprehensive financial studies, statements, and reports. The Principal Finance Analyst will lead the preparation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of capital improvement plans and budgets, and oversee the coordination of the master fee schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting tasks
  • Develop and implement financial plans and policies
  • Monitor and review financial performance of City departments and projects
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, schedules, and reports
  • Assist in the development of accounting and audit control methods, systems, and procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Public Administration, or related field
  • Four years of professional experience in governmental accounting, budgetary financial analysis, and research
  • Two years of related finance and/or auditing experience for a municipality or other public sector entity
  • Desirable certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM)
