- Budget Participation: Engage in the annual budgeting process for the plant.
- Training Provision: Deliver training on food safety and regulatory compliance to plant personnel.
- Leadership in Emergencies: Provide quality leadership during unexpected events.
- Collaboration with R&D: Work with research and development teams during new product introductions to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Customer Interaction: Serve as the primary contact for customer-related quality issues.
- Analytical Oversight: Manage analytical and microbiological activities at the facility.
- Quality Management System Maintenance: Ensure that the quality management system is current and compliant with industry standards.
- Undergraduate degree in food science, biological sciences, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in quality assurance within the food or beverage industry.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with a preference for candidates with managerial experience.
- Relevant certifications such as PCQI, HACCP, or SQF Practitioner are preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant company software.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Capability to work collaboratively and foster teamwork.
- Adaptability to change and effective problem-solving skills.
