  • Incident Reporting: Report non-conformance incidents to senior management promptly.

  • Change Control Management: Oversee the facility's change control procedures to facilitate thorough risk assessments.
  • Specification Compliance: Ensure adherence to product specifications and preventive maintenance protocols.

  • Record Review: Conduct daily reviews of quality records to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Team Development: Foster a positive work environment and develop talent through effective training and mentorship.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to quality.
  • Budget Participation: Engage in the annual budgeting process for the plant.
  • Training Provision: Deliver training on food safety and regulatory compliance to plant personnel.
  • Leadership in Emergencies: Provide quality leadership during unexpected events.
  • Collaboration with R&D: Work with research and development teams during new product introductions to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Customer Interaction: Serve as the primary contact for customer-related quality issues.
  • Analytical Oversight: Manage analytical and microbiological activities at the facility.
  • Quality Management System Maintenance: Ensure that the quality management system is current and compliant with industry standards.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in food science, biological sciences, or a related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in quality assurance within the food or beverage industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with a preference for candidates with managerial experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as PCQI, HACCP, or SQF Practitioner are preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant company software.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capability to work collaboratively and foster teamwork.
