This position is responsible for providing academic support to students in a fifth-grade classroom at the North Ridgeville Academic Center. The Leave Replacement Intervention Specialist will cover a leave of absence beginning in January through the end of May. The ideal candidate will have a college or university degree, a valid Ohio teaching certificate/license, and experience in teaching and learning. The employee will be responsible for ensuring the safety of students, maintaining records of student performance, and reporting student progress to parents and/or legal guardians. The Leave Replacement Intervention Specialist will also diagnose the learning needs of students and provide targeted interventions to address their identified needs. The employee will be expected to remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace and to be free of any substance that impairs work performance or the safety of others while on duty.
