Position Overview

The selected individual will be responsible for the upkeep of electrical machinery and motors rated up to 200hp. This role includes performing welding duties as required, diagnosing electrical systems, and strategizing for the company's future electrical requirements. Additionally, the candidate will conduct safety evaluations and install new machinery while supplying their own tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, test, troubleshoot, replace, and maintain electrical apparatus within the facility.
  • Supervise electrical tasks ranging from minor fixes to extensive projects.
  • Examine completed work to ensure compliance with local building and safety regulations.
  • Assist in planning daily and upcoming scheduled maintenance for the plant.
  • Support the scheduling of significant electrical projects, from procuring materials to executing the work efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Investigate equipment failures and communicate findings to Operations and team members to enhance safe production levels.
  • Contribute to the formulation of budget forecasts and capital spending.
  • Assist with electrical and mechanical initiatives, installations, and shutdowns.
  • Help develop and sustain a preventative and predictive maintenance strategy.
  • Maintain effective communication with plant operational staff, maintenance teams, and management.
  • Provide assistance with all other maintenance tasks as required.
  • Be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wetness, dryness, dust, and noise.

Essential Qualifications

  • Master Electrician certification is preferred or a Journeyman License.
  • Experience in Electrical Work within an Industrial Environment.
  • Competence in Basic Welding.
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
  • Experience with Electrical Wiring, Electrical Motors, and Mechanical Components.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong adherence to safety protocols with experience in an MSHA Facility.
