As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining packaging machine solutions to enhance our customers' manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop electrical controls engineering, including hardware and software designs, for packaging machines and industrial process systems.
- Develop and modify PLC and HMI programs and control systems for standard and custom packaging systems used in the food and consumer products industries.
- Coordinate electrical and control requirements with equipment mechanical design.
- Ensure electrical equipment and designs meet required standards, such as NEC, IEC, NEMA, UL508A, CSA.
- Provide technical writing skills for control system operations and maintenance.
- Work with the service department and customers to conduct in-house factory acceptance testing and provide service department with controls and electrical system support.
- Coordinate with the production and QC departments to refine and improve work.
- Meet defined schedules, deadlines, and goals.
- Provide support for on-site start-ups.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC programming software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to efficiently learn new PLC and HMI software platforms.
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and adapt quickly to time-sensitive needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Clean office environment.
- Periodic exposure to factory environment containing dust, machine noise, and welding equipment.
- Periodic standing and walking.
