Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, organize, and maintain documents and files related to legal matters, including documents received from clients, opposing parties, or other sources.
  • Perform basic factual research and investigation related to client matters and other due diligence as appropriate.
  • Conduct research using LEXIS, Westlaw, or other relevant research platforms to support client needs.
  • Manage calendars, docket, and tickler systems, and assist in meeting deadlines.
  • Draft basic pleadings, assist and respond to discovery requests, and prepare for trial.
  • Ensure filings are in compliance with court rules and e-file documents in federal and state court.
  • Proofread legal documents.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years of work experience as a litigation paralegal.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new processes and incorporate new technology to meet client demands.
  • Experience with iManage preferred.
