Kiewit Power Engineers is seeking a highly motivated Substation Engineer to join our team in Denver, CO. As a key member of our Power Delivery department, you will be responsible for designing and developing substation projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed design documents, including one and three-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, and substation layout plans.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Apply engineering application software to complete tasks such as ground grid design, equipment sizing, relay coordination, and electrical studies.
- Communicate and coordinate project activities with project leads, customer representatives, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- At least 3 years of experience performing engineering-related duties.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Knowledge of engineering standards, including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in the English language.
- Competitive base compensation: $77,536 - $119,228.
