Job Title: Physical Therapist

Spaulding Hospital Cape Cod is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at our Plymouth Outpatient Clinic. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our rehabilitation team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy services to patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate patients' physical therapy needs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect patients' age and situation, including discharge plans.
  • Revised treatment plans based on patient progress towards stated goals.
  • Ensure complete, timely, and accurate documentation in accordance with facility and practice guidelines.
  • Orient, train, and mentor therapy and health care students to achieve stated performance expectations.
  • Identify and act upon performance improvement opportunities to implement best practices.
  • Participate in additional department, organization, or network activities as established.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Experience:
  • Required experience in physical therapy, with a focus on rehabilitation and patient care.
Licensure:
  • Licensed (and in good standing) as a physical therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Skills:
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Basic skills in math and computer science.
  • Appropriate knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques to manage the rehabilitation population.
  • Effective problem-solving skills for physical therapy evaluation, interpretation, treatment planning, and execution.
  • Basic skills in teaching others and self-assessment of learning needs, strengths, and professional goals.
  • Safely execute all job responsibilities without risking injury to self or patients.
  • Computer proficiency, with a preference for Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new software.
  • Maintain a variable work schedule, including evenings, holidays, weekends, and travel, to provide patient care.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and contribute as a member of a team.
  • Anticipate challenges and develop strategies for addressing them.
  • High level of service delivery, with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing situations.
  • Attention to detail.
