Role Summary

As a Neurodiagnostic Trainee at Maine Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in supporting EEG procedures and increasing your experience in the field. This role offers a unique opportunity to pursue a certification as a registered EEG tech through ABRET, the national credentialing and accreditation organization in the Neurodiagnostic field.

In this position, you will work closely with our team to collect electroencephalogram, EEG (brainwave) data for routine EEGs, continuous EEG, and long-term epilepsy monitoring in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will also have the opportunity to participate in an online course outside of work hours to prepare for your ABRET exam and become a registered EEG technician.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate electro-neurodiagnostic equipment to measure electrical nerve potentials for use by providers in diagnosing neurological outcomes.
• Collect and analyze EEG data for routine EEGs, continuous EEG, and long-term epilepsy monitoring in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within six months of start date.
• Enrollment in EEG Clinical Training Program within 3 months of start date.
