Grady Health System is seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Surgical/Trauma unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating the overall nursing care and functions in a particular nursing unit or during an assigned shift.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Direct, organize, and assign work to the nursing staff, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
- Patient Care: Assess, monitor, and educate the nursing staff on patient care, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care.
- Quality Improvement: Work with the Clinical Staff Manager to enhance throughput, quality, and customer service in the unit.
- Emergency Procedures: Institute emergency procedures as necessary, ensuring the safety of patients and staff.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent education and experience.
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Georgia.
- Experience: Four (4) or more years of direct patient care RN experience, including in a charge role.
- Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Card and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification for certain areas.
