Job Title: CT Technologist

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Burlingame, California.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented CT Technologist to perform routine and specialized computerized tomography procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic computerized tomography examinations
  • Operate complex stationary and mobile diagnostic equipment
  • Ensure that routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames
  • Prepare for and assist physicians in CT diagnostic and/or guidance imaging during invasive procedures
  • Explain and educate patients on procedures, medications, and contrast media
  • Mentor and foster a constructive environment for students and new technologists
Requirements:
  • Graduation from a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist (from the state where work is being performed)
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 days of hire if required at the affiliate
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years of recent relevant experience
  • General knowledge of diagnostic computerized tomography principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:

The CT Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize assignments, work within standardized policies and procedures, and meet deadlines.
