Job Overview

Clean Harbors is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Duty Truck Operator to join our team in Indianapolis, IN.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various heavy and light duty trucks for hazardous waste clean-up, ensuring safety compliance, loading and unloading trucks, manual labor on-site, and maintaining accurate logs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Commercial Trucks: Safely operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed, working in a team atmosphere where everyone helps.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placarding of vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements/regulations.
  • Manual Labor: Perform manual labor on site to ensure fulfillment of customer needs.
  • Log Maintenance: Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports, following all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules.
Requirements
  • Valid Class A CDL: Possess a valid Class A CDL and the ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
  • Physical Abilities: Perform physical functions per job requirements, successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical.
  • Communication Skills: Use various mobile devices and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, 401K with company match, employee stock purchase plan, and opportunities for growth and development.
