Job Summary:

A Field Service Technician is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, assisting with window and door replacements, installing window screens, and ensuring company safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive up to 6 hours in a single day to complete service jobs.
  • Replace glass in windows or doors, install window screens, and hardware.
  • Conduct job site walk-throughs, complete necessary paperwork, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Meet company safety requirements by maintaining a clean work area, following safety protocols, and reporting any safety concerns to the manager.
Primary Objectives:
  • Perform and complete service jobs on Showcase Windows and Doors Co., LLC products in the field.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues in the field.
  • Provide customers with valuable information on product care, operation, and maintenance.
  • Update service-related records in the Service Module to facilitate future service calls and billing.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by conducting follow-up service work and communication.
  • Collect customer payments as required.
  • Identify and order necessary parts through the Service Module.
  • Load service vans with required parts and equipment on a weekly basis.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, striving for 100% customer satisfaction.
  • May be asked to assist in training new Field Service Technicians or employees in other departments.
  • Maintain assigned service vehicles.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor or company to support company goals and customer needs.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to drive up to 6 hours in a single day.
  • Ability to use and read maps.
  • Window and/or door experience (product knowledge) is preferred.
  • The ability to lift pounds.
  • Ability to work off a ladder, up to 40 feet.
  • Able to use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day.
Entry-Level Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • A technical degree is preferable.
  • Ability to diagnose problems with equipment.
  • Great mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
