Job Summary

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in the operating room, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective conduct of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

* Assist the surgical team in preparing the operating room and ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available
* Maintain a safe and sterile environment, adhering to strict asepsis and sterile technique standards
* Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all patients receive high-quality care
* Participate in the preparation and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment
* Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development

Requirements

* Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program or formal program as defined by the LCCST
* 1-2 years of experience and certification as a surgical technician preferred
* Must obtain LCC-ST certification within 1 year of employment if not already certified

Physical Demands

* Standing 90% of the work day
* Ability to lift up to 36 pounds
* Handle highly-stressful physical and interpersonal situations
* Do repetitive work, fine hand manipulations, and work at an elevated level from floor
