Nourish Early Learning seeks qualified professionals to join our team as Early Childhood Teaching Assistants. This pivotal role involves supporting lead teachers in teaching and supervising, while motivating children to utilize their mental capacities and exercise their imagination.
Our philosophy is centered around expanding children's independence, fostering curiosity, and promoting a deeper understanding of the world around them. As an assistant, you will begin as an apprentice, learning the Nourish philosophy and our holistic view of child development.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep love for children, a strong connection with young minds, and the ability to adapt to various teaching methods. You should be courageous in your approach, maintain high energy levels, and have some dance moves to bring excitement to the classroom. Additionally, you will need to recognize children's individual needs, be attuned to your surroundings, and communicate effectively with your lead teacher and colleagues.
Responsibilities include assisting in lesson plan execution, reading and implementing curriculum plans, and supporting field trips. You will also be responsible for supervising behavior and safety during school hours, maintaining ratios, and ensuring no child is left unattended. Furthermore, you will provide basic physical, emotional, and spiritual care and caregiving activities, adhere to teaching standards and safety regulations, and maintain a safe and clean environment for children to thrive.
Requirements
This position requires proven experience in child care or preschool teaching, knowledge of child development, and up-to-date education methods. Strong communication and time management skills are essential, along with a certificate in first aid and CPR. A degree in early childhood education is a plus, and FBI & BCII background checks must be complete.
