Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, CSAC, to join our team at Rappahannock Area Community Service Board. As a Residential Crisis Stabilization Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive treatment and support services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct multi-dimensional assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, their families, and other service providers.
  • Provide supportive counseling and advocacy to individuals with substance use disorders, utilizing evidence-based interventions and modalities.
  • Facilitate discharge planning and coordination of care related to substance use support and mental health.
  • Collaborate with the Sunshine Lady House team to coordinate substance use interventions and treatment from intake to aftercare.
  • Provide referrals to community resources and identify resource deficiencies for future planning.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field.
  • One year of experience working with substance use and mental health populations preferred.
  • Valid VA driver's license.
  • Valid Virginia CSAC Certification eligibility required.
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional-A (QMHP) certification required.
