About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced transportation planner to lead our team in developing and implementing transportation plans, policies, and programs that promote safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement transportation plans, policies, and programs that align with the city's vision and goals.
  • Lead a team of transportation planners and engineers in the development and implementation of transportation projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including city officials, developers, and community groups, to ensure that transportation plans and projects meet community needs and expectations.
  • Conduct transportation studies and analyses to inform planning and decision-making.
  • Develop and manage budgets and resources for transportation projects and programs.
  • Represent the city at transportation-related meetings and conferences.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in urban planning, transportation engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in transportation planning, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation planning principles, policies, and practices.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and community groups.
