POSITION: Commercial Driver

LOCATION: Chowchilla, CA

REPORTS TO: Route Manager

SALARY: $20.00 to $23.00/ per hour, DOE

Caglia Environmental has been a trusted provider of waste management and recycling solutions in the Fresno region for over 70 years. Established in 1941, our operations have grown to include various services such as Cedar Avenue Recycling Transfer Station (CARTS), Industrial Waste & Salvage (IWS), Caglia Construction Recycling, and Red Rock Environmental Group.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Efficiently operate diverse waste collection vehicles to serve both commercial and residential clients in accordance with service agreements.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to maintain safety standards and optimize operational efficiency.

KEY DUTIES:

  • Deliver scheduled collection services while ensuring the safe operation of company vehicles.
  • Engage professionally with clients and supervisors to foster positive relationships.
  • Complete route collection documentation as instructed by the Operations Manager.
  • Monitor and report any malfunctioning equipment promptly.
  • Fulfill all DOT and company-required documentation accurately and in a timely manner as directed.
  • Participate in additional projects and tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Maintain high standards of work performance.
  • Prioritize safety, quality, and attention to detail.
  • Utilize technical knowledge and skills effectively.
  • Inspire and motivate team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial driving.
  • Possession of a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass random drug screenings.
  • Current Medical Card required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage sensitive customer interactions.
  • Proficiency in reading and speaking English.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
