Underwriting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Specialist to join our team at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. As an Underwriting Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our Financial Underwriters and ensuring the accurate submission of prospect and preparation of quotes for New Business.

• Monitor Underwriting inbox for new prospects and validate submissions to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate results of reviews to appropriate sales and underwriting teams and prepare initial quote documentation.
• Prepare and validate ERISA Form 5500 worksheets and coordinate distribution dates.
• Provide consistent follow-up to emails sent from sales to ensure complete resolution to broker/account inquiries on 5500 worksheets.
• Assist in record competitive information based on quote submissions.
