Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Select Specialty Hospital - San Diego. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).
  • Monitor patient's response to treatment and modify treatment during sessions as indicated in collaboration with an OT.
  • Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
  • Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
Qualifications
  • Must have successfully completed (or be eligible to complete) the NBCOT examinations for Occupational Therapy Assistants.
  • Possess Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state that the job is located in.
  • Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Critical care experience in a hospital setting is a plus.
